LG just announced the MiniBeam PF1000U in South Korea. It’s a small unit that produces a seriously big image, maxing out at 100 inches wide at only one foot (30cm) away. According to LG Electronics, the new product supports full HD resolution with a brightness of up to 1,000 lumens and a contrast ratio of 150,000:1. That’s a .15 throw ratio! Astounding.
The new MiniBeam projector also features a Bluetooth function that can wirelessly connect with any Bluetooth-enabled soundbar, speaker, and other audio equipment at short range. The LG MiniBeam PF1000U is priced at 1.59 million won (US$1,340). All you have to do is set down the projector next to a wall, get your popcorn, and sit back and enjoy your personal movie theater at home!
Setting up a projector has never been easier. LG’s amazing new mini projector makes it amazingly easy to set up an immersive movie theater style screen in seconds. Projection mappers can take inspiration to create some ultra short range experiences. We can’t wait to see the magic this enables.
