Projection Mapping on Apple Keyboard

Projection Mapping on Apple Keyboard

No, this isn’t Apple’s newest product, but I sure think it would be cute if Apple sold this projection mapped keyboard accessory.

Mash Studio created this fun vignette showcasing how you can bring your physical desktop to life with projection mapping. As the user types, the keys light up reacting to the user’s input. The space between your display monitor and keyboard is used as contextual visual feedback. The keyboard also comes complete with out favorite projection mapped extrusion effect, giving your keys that extra sense of depth:

I design, research and tinker with new sensing and display techniques (like projection mapping) to make our interactions with computers feel more natural! I've worked for Walt Disney Imagineering and Microsoft Research and made things along the way like Aireal and RoomAlive. Check em' out at rsodhi.com, @lumenra.

Really cool use of the keyboard mapping. May I ask you which setup did you use? I may be interested in developing something similar (but just for normal screen display). Thanks in advance
