#Inspiration: Bud Light’s New Pac-Man

It’s that time of the year again when we sit back with family and friends to enjoy each other’s company and give thanks for the Super Bowl. Of course, many of us don’t really watch the Super Bowl for the actual sporting event, but instead tune in for the entertaining commercials that becomes the fodder of internet discourse for weeks to follow. This year, ABInBev and the folks at Bud Light have given us a preview of their newest commercial, Real Life PacMan for their #Whatever campaign, which is sure to get some buzz.

The commercial begins by showing off a giant coin slot which opens up to a brightly lit maze filled with life-sized glowing ghosts. The entire construction is abound with DJs, singers and party goers enjoying a cool alcoholic beverage. In less than 5 days, Bud Light will unveil the video during it’s official spot during the Super Bowl. The advertisement is a continuation of the brand’s “The Perfect Beer for Whatever Happens” campaign.

While there isn’t any projection mapping, there’s no shortage of light in the piece and who doesn’t like a simulated real life Pac-Man? There’s certainly a lot to takeaway for inspiration as to how one could create a projection mapped version of this experience or similar. Hit the jump to get a preview and check out the awesome pics below to see the conception and construction. Truly inspiring!
