The TouchPico Projector Goes Indiegogo

The TouchPico just launched today on IndieGogo. We spoke to the creators of TouchPico earlier this year at CES where it was announced. This new and fun projector has an embedded computer that runs the full Android-OS. Also embedded inside is a small infrared camera that senses the infrared illuminated pen for interaction. With the TouchPico, you can essentially turn any wall into a large Android tablet.

At CES, we found the touch pen interface to be quite responsive and the applications they showcased were stock applications you might find on Google Play, including a fun touch pen projected version of Angry Birds. Seeing a pico projector at 400-lumens with these capabilities is quite impressive, and it works as a standard projector with HDMI input available if you want to hook it up to your computer.

Priced at $350 on IndieGogo and $500 at launch, the device is marketed for group experiences including applications in education, business users who require on the go presentations, all the way to just plain old family fun. Awesome work!
